If the south shore from the airport isn't running, how about telling your patrons that and to ride the bus? Maybe also have an attendant there during the hours that they're supposed to be there. "Oh but it was in the news." People traveling don't watch the local news. "It was on the website." It absolutely was not. Because after I called and complained, it sure as hell was afterwards. This is completely unacceptable. This left my girlfriend and a dozen other people stranded in South Bend.

SBN is normally very good, but in the last week I have noticed a couple of things that are truly disappointing.
 6:30am flight and de-icing crew not ready to go.  It is winter in SB.  No excuse for this. Made connections difficult/impossible.
 7am flight and runway closures.  Weather was not that bad.  Multiple planes left late.  Lots of folks missing connections.  I got up at 3:30am to make that flight.  Ground crews need to do same.
 Handicapped stall in women's restroom near A6 needs a lock on it.  Of all doors to not have a lock!
 Clean those bathroom walls.  Stainless steel shows everything and needs to be wiped down more often than it is.
 Better faucets in restrooms.  They are there to assist with cleanliness which can't happen when you can't get enough water to wet/rinse your hands.  
 I would love the opportunity to clean those bathrooms.  They aren't unusable, but larger airports keep theirs clean.  SB can do the same.

We always seem to be at this airport in the middle of the day (taking trains to and from Chcago) so maybe I don't see the big picture.
But this well built and expansive airport doesn't see to have the traffic to support it. That's not a complaint it's a more an amazement -- it's so clean and roomy and well designed to make you feel good.

If you've never landed before taking off, catch a flight from here to Chicago. You'll see what I mean. Always a place to park, trains to Chicago have always been on time. Airport expansion is very nice. But as with many small airports, flying here was not the norm for me because prices were almost always high. Still, a great little airport. On some landings, you'll get an incredible view of Notre Dame.
