Story

South Shore Brewery Taphouse in Washburn:
Besides being a cozy and intimate setting for sampling South Shore beer on tap, and perhaps talking beer smack with the staff, it’s also a space where people come together for a fresh pint and experience vinyl records playing, friendly games of bar shuffleboard and marksman darts. Enjoy food your pint with “take out” or “order in” food from local restaurants while playing a game of cribbage too. It’s proven to be large and effective enough for hosting special events and meetings. Currently serving up smiles and beers Tues 4P -8P (Pitcher Night), Fri 4P - 8P, Sat 2P - 8P. Outdoor seating (Summer). Sturday brewery tours for all ages available by preregistration. Accessible via public transit, B.A.R.T. bus stop “Washburn 5th Street”. South Shore Brewery in Washburn:
To acquire needed brewing capacity, the South Shore Brewery begun brewing operations in downtown Washburn, WI in 2016. The site had many previous businesses, but it’s facade hints that it may be best known from its time as a bowling alley. Renovations include a 15 barrel brewhouse, initial fermentation capacity of 4000+ barrels annually, as well as more effective packaging, product handling and distribution capabilities.
