Story

Enjoy the scenic Yuba River as it flows through the South Yuba River State Park. Learn about the historic covered bridge that served as a toll road on the way to the Virginia Turnpike in the 1862. Enjoy the flora and fauna along the river banks which provide summer swimming holes and gold panning.

It's a gorgeous place with a good atmosphere. Everybody was friendly and respectful. There are free dogs playing with other dogs and humans. It is important to make sure if you bring your dog that it is friendly with other 4 leg buddies. It is clothing optional so make sure you bring an open mind regarding nudity ;)

Fabulous place to hang out with family. A short rocky hike and you're the large part of the swimming hole. Under the bridge is also a great spot for families wanting a slow moving but fun water day. Friendly services available. Restrooms also available.

Great place for family to hang out. In early August we found the water flow to be very reasonable and safe for the young ones. My 5 year old daughter had no issues swimming at the swim holes.

Nice River. Good trails. Has 2 porta potty. Sadly lots of weed and pot smokers makes it difficult for family friendly.

Beautiful place to spend a  day with family and friends  in the river . The water is nice and warm.   It's crowded though in the weekend specially during summer time..
