Story

Southern Blues is an award-winning soul food restaurant that opened in February 2000 and is located in the heart of Baltimore County. Since then, the restaurant has been serving classic southern dishes with a modern and contemporary flair. The popular restaurant attracts clientele from all over Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC.

This recent place opened on Hartford road in may and this was our first time going in. The ambiance is great and the staff was very good. Definitely worth the trip and we also used them to cater our event. The managers took great care of us and I recommend anyone looking for some great food, go check them out asap.

Placing orders can be a pain. Constantly have to repeat yourself. But food is amazing. My daughter always says the staff are really great and nice. Looking for good soul food this is the spot

Great food and timely service! Has become an weekly regular. Happy about their 2nd location - now in the Northeast area.

I'm giving one star for the sake of having to give one in order to write this review. Poor service. My mom and sons visited this place today ordered two fish dinners 1 w yams and string beans. The other with fries and mac n cheese. Got home and only 1 dinner had fish. 1 container was full of fries and mac n cheese seperate. Drove back to the place to let them know I ordered 2 fish dinners one has no fish. Well guess what that quick mom doesn't have the receipt. So they asked for receipt number (damn they just left) but my honors math student remembered the receipt number. The guy pulled up the transaction but wouldn't allow my mom to see it. Saying this is what she ordered! WHY NOT LET HER SEE IT? Are you that desperate for a few more bucks that you made her pay for fish a second time. It's a shame others were complaining about the cold food as she was complaining.Do NOT give them your money because THEY lack customer service. Let's see if this establishment is still around 12 months from now! Try another spot!

Not as good as the original location but it was good. The staff was great. I will return just keep getting better. There green beans were delicious. So give them a try.
