It'd be a good place to work if the paychecks were ever on time or ever correct. Its like pulling teeth to get paid and get paid on time

I would not recommend this company to anyone. While the office staff were friendly, the movers were the worst.  They moved extremely slow, didn't come prepared with tools and did very little to take care of my items.  The movers complained that I lived in the 3rd floor. I advised the office staff that I was on the third floor when making my reservation.  They moved boxes even small ones, one by one. Never stacking or using a dolly. As you can imagine, this added a lot of time. Loading my 1 bedroom took about 3 hours.  The unload took just as long. Again because they wouldn't use a dolly.  It was do bad, my friend with a bad back started to help and move items. 

The additional headache came at the end of the day when I told the guys please just get everything in my new place, I was over my time and at the top of the budget.  The head driver responded good, I want to go home.  Extremely rude. He then tried to triple charge for the drive time. I had to argue with him his calculation was wrong. He the. Got very angry and loud and told me he is calling owner. I told him that was fine and was able to speak with the owners wife and explain the issue with the calculation. Once I got that taken care of and the guy realized he was wrong, he continued with rude remarks and attitude. Granted it was a hot day and we were all tired.... in the end bad customer service. 

Now the icing on the cake, I am finally trying to put my place in order and see damage caused to my items. My favorite painting is torn, a speaker is ripped, my new floor is scratched and it looks like they dragged my mattress across the ground... filthy with leaves, etc.  Even my large water cooler is now missing the drip tray. 

All in all, I am happy to be done with this move but am extremely dissatisfied by the process and extra headache caused by Southern California Moving. The costs was not worth the service.

Their moving tractor damaged a large tree and tore up a section of sod costing us $523 to repair. Al, the owner, promises to pay - but has now been over three months. He is a liar and they are not to be trusted.

Terrible!!!! Absolutely do not recommend this company. They arrived 3 hours late. The owner refused to offer any compensation, other than to let ME hire a 3rd man from them for a $5 discount! Really? The  2 men were big and strong, but very slow and it was the 1st day for one of them. They didn't efficiently pack the truck. Said it was full, but with my husband having to help them, they fit much more on the truck. Paid for 5 hours for them to move a 900 sq ft home 15 minutes away, and ended up having to pay them an extra $187 because they didn't finish in time ... Even with my husband working his butt off to carry things for them! So disappointed. I've never posted a poor review for any service or company until today. Pathetic.

Terrible company. They lie constantly about when items will be delivered once they have your money, Good LUCK! Annette and AL never tell the truth. Took 17 days after pick up to get my vehicle picked up, once it was it arrived looking as if it had been sandblasted. They picked up my home in TN to move to CA driver Troy said 10 days 15 days later they tell me 10:45-2pm call them at 1 to confirm and they tell me he's 45 mins out. Call at 2pm Annette demands for me to be pleasant and hangs up. Call again Felicia says the driver has been 3 hours out the whole time. They are liars and terrible business people. Avoid them as if they were plague.
