Story

The acclaimed Pete Dye championship golf course at Southern Hills Plantation Club is an 18-hole, par-72, private course offering elevations from 60 feet to nearly 250 feet and is situated in the rolling hills of Brooksville, Fla. Great course and exciting layout. From start to finish the course didn't let up, the back nine was tougher than the front. The only relief was number 8 a short downhill par 3. We caught a decent day in the cold spell, just a little windy so some holes played longer than usual. If you haven't played here yet, put it on your to-do list, it was well worth the almost 2hr drive for me.
The pace of play was great, saw the cart girl a few times and everyone had a pleasant attitude.

It was not crowded so I was able to play 4 balls on each hole. Could really practice chip shots and putting. No worries about anyone behind me. Great fun.

Excellent conditions, very tricky greens. Extremely quick down grain and more so when grain runs down a slope. Must read the terrain as much as the slope, some putts will seem to break uphill. All met my expectations, which were high from the start. 1 handicap

Beautiful community/First rate albeit expensive golf course.  Worth  a look for property or golf.

Nice course but Greens were like putting on concrete, the ball never stopped, very frustrating.
