Southwood Resort is a wonderful place for your summer vacation. Our family and friends have been vacationing at Southwood Resort for over 30 years. The owners are friendly and generous and the cabins and grounds are very clean and accommodating.  Southwood Resort is located on beautiful Lake Pokegama just a few miles south of Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

This is a great place for kids to play and for adults to relax.  The beach area is sandy and perfect for sun tanning or castle making.  There is a floating dock, a swing-set play area for the kids and a community fire pit.

The cabins are cozy and each one is themed on a different animal (wolf, bear, deer, moose, eagle).  Each cabin has a full kitchen with fridge, stove and microwave, bathrooms with showers and of course bedrooms.

Just a few miles to the north on highway 169 is the city of Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Plenty of shopping, dinning, entertainment and historic sites are available and waiting for your to explore.

I can't say enough good things about this place.  We have always had a fantastic time staying here and look forward to coming back every year.
