Boca Raton runs an excellent Library system. Both the facilities I have visited have been attractive and functional. The staff is always helpful and friendly. They also run some great classes. I visited recently with the family. See pictures

This is a pleasant library, meant for locals. Study areas are usually quiet. Staff is very friendly and helpful. My only concern is that the use of current technology is lacking in the library system. For example, they still rent out DVDs instead of allowing patrons to stream the content. Electronic delivery eliminates the need to physically visit the library to pickup the items. This would also eliminate the need to replace items that have been damaged over time. When electronic access and delivery are improved, the library system will be able to provide a greatly improved service to its various patrons.

LOUD NOISES.  Sure, Mizner is worse so I'll give it that.  Maybe it's just Boca?  Why people here congregate in a Library just to make noise is beyond me.  I thought the purpose of a Library was to provide a quiet place for the community to read, research, etc.  I must have dreamt that up.  Good news: if noise is  your thing, you'll love it - there are crying, screaming, fighting, and running children everywhere.  If kids aren't your thing, don't fret because you'll also encounter a plethora of belching, snorting, sniffling, L O U D talking senior citizens there to pollute the air.  Oh and as the others have said, the internet here is a complete wash.

I really love this library, they have really comfortable indoor seating. Computers, along with printers that offer color copies (other libraries in the area do not offer). 

There is a beautiful trail with views of the pond. The trail splits off into multiple directions, one of which takes you across the street to the park without having to cross any major streets.

You have to have a boca ID in order to get a library card here otherwise it cost like $250 I believe. Which keeps the place clean and clientele somewhat classy.

The staff is helpful and they also offer rooms to rent for free as long a there are two people or more using it.

Great clean library in a very convenient and easy to find location. Awesome selection of resources. Lots of study room available. As a bonus: you can access the beautiful Pondhawk nature area from the same parking lot!
