elcome to Spooner Manor Resort. Our goal is to become a 5 star Hotel and RV resort without loosing the simplicity of what nature already has to offer us. We are a small family business located eight miles south of Saint Maries, Idaho on the western edge of the Rocky Mountains. Although the Spooner Manor business is relatively new our family has owned it since 1961. Not only that but it has one of the oldest histories in the area dating back to the mid 1800's. It was here that the very first "white man" homesteaded. The original Log Cabin still stands here on the Spooner Manor. It was known as the Halfway house due to the fact that it was half way between Coeur d' Alene and Moscow, Idaho. It was a bed and breakfast located on the old stage coach highway. In a way it has now been reborn as Spooner's Country Manor offering a mountain oasis for the weary traveler and an escape from the fast pace life of city folk.
In our opinion this is the best place on earth! We have come to the conviction that it would be selfish of us to not share this amazing place with you. So it is our goal to be your host and make your stay as comfortable as possible. We pride ourselves in fast friendly service. We think of you as a guest in our own home, so please ask if you need anything and feel free to explore our 36 acres of land. It truly is beautiful here on our 36 acres with ponds, creeks, forest, hiking, herds of elk, moose, deer, wild turkeys and the sportsman access road 1/4 mile away. We have three ponds stocked with fish and you're welcome to try your hand at catching some of them, or just take a dip in it and cool off during the hot summer days. During the cold winter months the ponds freeze over, so we like to take advantage of the ice and go ice skating on it and occasionally place some hockey. There are also thousands of acres of forest that's accessible west of our property line. Your find endless forests exploring back there. Also the Hobo Cedar Grove is not far from us and is amazing. The list is endless of things to do around here.
Our water is natural spring feed and is good enough to wash dishes and brush your teeth with. However it is not potable yet and we are still in the process of developing the springs. We hope to complete this project early spring of 2016. Until then we have Berkey water purification systems available for you to use.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call or email us.
