I was there last week for tests and was in and out in a flash after the registration process . Clean, comfortable and well staffed. In May I was there with a friend via ambulance and they were amazing in the ER getting to the issue very quickly. Wonderful, pleasant staff, excellent Physicians and facility.

Absolutely horrible hospital!!!!! If you or your loved one need immediate care find an alternative!!!! I never write reviews but truly felt compelled so that nobody else has a bad experience. Positive: The ER Doctor was pleasant, attentive, and efficient. Nurses (both in ER and on floor) are efficient and kind (with an exception of a night agency nurse who butchered my mother with the IV and catheter). After 3 days (so far) of my mother's stay we have seen 3 different doctors a total of 5 minutes. Each orders tests and then nothing ever happens. Ironically both of my folks ended up in the hospital at the same time and the absence of a doctor was present with both. The physician parking lot had 2 cars in the parking lot at one given time! If you have a real emergency avoid this place! I can't stress this enough!

I arrived at the ER at 3 pm on a Saturday with numbness in my left arm and hand, slight dizziness/ light headedness, and a bit disoriented. I feared I may be having a stroke. The ER staff promptly took me to the back and began checking my vitals, running test etc. They could not have been anymore friendly, kind, caring or professional. I even got to speak with a Neurologist via video call. (Pretty cool.) The rooms were very clean and organized. No complaints here. Luckily, it was just a false alarm for me on that day. If I ever have to go back to an ER (hopefully not anytime soon, no offense) I definitely hope that it will be at this hospital. Keep up the good work gang, it's much appreciated.

I had two deep cuts on my finger and went to Emergency last night. The doctor looked at it, said nothing, they wrapped my finger and sent me a room. The lady who was responsible from registration came after five minutes. She was extremely rude and not caring at all. It was a joke. Even though she had my license in front of her, she wanted me to say my name and address. She acted like I am a criminal or something and I presented some one else's license. My finger is waiting to be treated and she is asking me questions like "Do you belong to a religious group?" She first said that she was going to ask me some voluntary questions and then she said that she must ask these 30 pages of questions because it is the hospital policy. Then, as I got up to leave, that person walked towards a lady sitting in front of a desk and that lady repeated the same thing to me: it is the hospital policy and I have to answer all those questions before getting a treatment. It is supposed to be the Emergency but rather than treating my finger quickly and sending me home, they preferred asking me 30 pages of questions first. I just left the hospital and my finger was not treated. If you had cared about your patient experience in the first place, you would have chosen your employees, managers and doctors more carefully. This is the worst hospital experience I have ever had. To sum up: HORRIBLE!

If there was an option to put negative stars I would! I went to this ER two days after having surgery with complications. Was put in a room within an hour. Waited a total of three hours and not one nurse or doctor saw me other than the one that did my IV and took blood in an office room! By the time a paramedic fill-in nurse acknowledged my existence, my condition was unbearable! The nurse/paramedic got some of my medicine and set it outside the door to my room. I could literally see it! 30-40 minutes go by and nothing or no-one! I got up,barely being able to walk after surgery, and went to a desk and had them take out my IV and left! This hospital is horrible and a joke just like Mary Washington! Sad... I had a little bit of hope for proper treatment when this hospital was established.
