Been here a bunch of times. Didn’t know what a Montreal style wood oven bagel was, but they are pretty delicious. Come out of that pizza oven looking thing hot and fresh, and they offer some really good fillers. Nice buzz on weekends around brunch and into the early afternoon. Enjoy!Food: 5/5
Bagels are good. Definitely the best in the KOP area. A little less salty than the NY Bagel but a little more dense + chewy with a bit of a crunch. Stays true to the 'Montreal Style' Bagel. The reason I did not give this location a 4-Star rating is simply due to the operations of this location. We ordered 4 bagels and instead of the cashier ringing us up + also grabbing our undressed bagels, she handed off our order to another employee. We waited 15 minutes for what could have been just handed to us in the matter of seconds. Comes to find out our order was lost and we would have waited a ton more time had we not stood up + mentioned something. Management definitely needs to take a closer look at trimming the fat here. There were about 8-10 employees working at once, all whom looked frazzled - except for the team working the flat top + team mate boiling the bagels. The cashier should definitely take responsibility of orders that require no work BEFORE passing off the work to someone else. I would probably return, but only if I placed an order in advance. I don't think I could handle this type of frustration again that early in the morning + especially before I have had something to eat.
Great bagels! They’re homemade and toasted in a wood burning oven! It’s really neat inside the shop, with an open and relaxing ambience. Also, the staff is super friendly and pleasant. FYI, for the Cure bagel sandwich, the brisket is not traditional southern BBQ. But all the food was delicious. Pro tip: consider asking for additional napkins, as they don’t have a napkin dispenser. Highly recommend.
This is a really neat bagel shop! The atmosphere is relaxing, love the plant decor and was surprised to see them cooking the bagels in a wood fired oven. They had a large variety of bagels and the everything bagels are absolutely covered in flavor, you can get them in wheat as well as regular. They had some flavored spreads. I was there to grab a quick bagel and coffee but would like to visit again to check out their other options.
This place is just ok. Service was slow and the floors and tables were dirty. There are a good number of employees so I don’t get why they aren’t running better shop.Food: 3/5
Below is the email I sent to their corporate team last Friday. I still have gotten no response. Great bagels, terrible attitudes. I'm reaching out to see if I could have the contact information for a representative to discuss an issue that occurred today. This past year I have place 20-30 orders, every Friday, at your King of Prussia location for between 75$-100$ per order for work. This morning was my first poor experience with this location and it makes me revisit coming back in the future. I placed an online order for Pick Up at 9:45AM, I have attached a screenshot of my receipt from today. It was my first time using your online service to perform my order. My request is for each dozen to be bagged separately, as well as a half dozen bagged separately. The point of this is for dropping to different clients, where your business is also marketed. When I arrived at the location I waited until 9:45AM to give Alexis as much time as possible as she was busy, when I walked up at 9:45 my order was not ready and she grabbed the bags to get it ready. Instead of taking the time to complete the order, she took all other line orders and made me wait an additional 5 minutes. After finishing my order I received and it and realized the order was bagged incorrectly. When I approached Alexis I said "this is wrong" and we reviewed the receipt on the bag. She then , with attitude, told me I was wrong and that the order was correct and that just how they do it. I asked her to separate the half dozen for me and she was nice enough to do this. But while she was pulling out the half dozen I requested bagged separately, she decided to mutter to her coworker that I wanted them bagged separately, as if it's a difficult request. The reason I'm reaching out is because this is a routine order, I also work in the restaurant industry and didn't appreciate the way Alexis had an attitude instead of trying to assist and get me out the door. Again, I am just looking to articulate this with someone because there are other local businesses I'd be happy to spend the money in. Thank you for your time.
Today was their soft open and it was good to see 15-20 people in the store. Upon walking in, the atmosphere is very sophisticated. Bagel display is very clean and easy to read. I'm a big bagel fan and Spread makes very delicious bagels. They cook them in a live wood fire oven that gives them a unique taste. I had The Cure on an everything bagel and it was packed with flavor. Highly recommend and wish the store much success going forward.
Unfortunately, I've had multiple experiences with KOP’s Spread Bagelry where my order was incorrect. As a regular customer, it's disappointing to consistently receive an incorrect order. Attention to detail is crucial in the food industry, and it's disheartening when expectations aren't met. I hope they can improve their order accuracy to provide a better experience for their customers. Picture: I asked for a toasted Nova Classic Sandwich on a plain bagel and received it on a sesame bagel.
Very hip place! I love the layout, interior decor and overall vibe. Although they have sit down spots, personally I feel it’s more a to-go place. As for their bagel, I’ve only tried the salted egg one. The texture is fantastic but I’m not sure I can taste the salted egg—unless what they mean by “salted egg” is different from my understand; to me, salted egg means Chinese salted egg. Price-wise, each bagel costs $2.25, kinda expensive for sure but if they can nail the bagel texture all the time, I’m willing to play $2.25 for a bagel on weekends.
Went here for the first time as finding a good bagel in this are isn’t easy. Let’s start this with food was good and I may give them a 2nd chance just because of that but they need better customer service or someone to manage the front of the house. When I went in there was no line but it still took almost 5 minutes of waiting for someone to take my order, I wasn’t even acknowledged . There were 4 employees working in the front and no one even could say “ someone will be right with you” I was just ignored. I then watch as the person who was supposed to make my order finish organizing her station before she starts mine. Grill guy finally jumps over and proceeds to make my order wrong - I had to stop him and he had to remake it. After 15 minutes I finally get my order no apologies. Bagel was good but for $15 I would expect it to be. Customer service training or management oversight needs to improve.
