Story

Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home is a family owned business with a rich heritage of commitment to the community. The staff is truly skilled at making families feel at home and helping them through a difficult time.

Randy M. Springer has nearly 25 years of experience in the industry. Randy attended Vincennes University where he earned an Associates Degree majoring in Funeral Service Education. He also received a Bachelors Degree from the University of Southern Indiana with a major in Health Services. Randy also holds an insurance license. He is a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church and is a member of and supports many service and fraternal organizations in the greater Monticello area. He is passionate about his calling and is devoted to the communities and the families he serves.

Kathryn Springer, Randy's wife, assists families with many things including preneed funding, and she holds an insurance license for this purpose. Kathryn earned a Bachelors Degree in Management and Administration from Indiana University and a Masters Degree in Administration from the University of Notre Dame. Much of her time is spent side by side with Randy in the day to day operations, and she strives to ensure the comfort of the families they serve.

Randy and Kathryn just celebrated their first wedding anniversary, and their daughter Katelyn is in her second year of college.

Harry Voorhis is the former owner and, along with his wife Pat, has dedicated himself to the Monticello community. Both Harry and Pat continue alliance with the funeral home and their strong commitment to the people who have relied on them over the years.

Kindra Roth also continues her association with Spring-Voorhis-Draper. She is an alumnus of Vincennes University with an Associates Degree majoring in Funeral Service Education. Kindra and her family are members of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church. Kindra and her husband Rusty are committed to the community and raise their three children, Stella, Lilly, and Vaughn in Monticello.
