A great camping ground. Don't follow the trails here though, or else you'll find out why Wrong Turn wasn't entirely a fictional story.

enjoyed the hikes there..I start at moundboulder loop..and make my way over with friends to spruce pine hollow.8 miles..we park different places..nice hiking..U see water..and i love walking thru that forest..Makes u realize how small we are in this big world.I ran up the mountaint for extra workout..and see a large owl fly away..what a bonus..felt bad i made him fly away..did not want to scare a giant owl..

There are a couple of covered picnic tables in the clearing, along with very clean portap potties. There were also some grill facilities. There had been a hand water pump but it was not functional. There are a couple of trails that you can get to from there, including a trail that goes to the Tuscarora Trail which is an Appalachian Trail alternative. We walked on it a little. The trail is well cared for, but watch the roots and rocks. The bridge is a great place to see some beautiful scenery. There is a campsite there too, I'm assuming for people walking the Tuscarora. It's quite close to Rt 9, which is good and bad. You definitely hear the traffic.
