This place is amazing. Especially, for those who have a restrictive diet due to specific issue. It brands itself as the Grainless Bakery. It uses Almond Flour or Coconut Flour in their items. Foods are grain-free (gluten-free), refined-sugar-free, and no or low dairy products. They serve muffins, granola, cookies, and frozen desserts about 26 or more, along with more savory items such soups and salads, eggs/omelettes, veggie burgers and more. Just ask the workers they will tell you. The price is Moderate to Expensive, since everything is made fresh and from scratch as well as no fruit juices for their smoothies, its all fresh fruit. Their is Dairy free ice cream, which is Vegetarian-friendly not Vegan since they use Honey to sweeten as well as dates. This place is good for a breakfast and light lunch. Even if you are not Vegan or Vegetarian, you can still eat here.

The selection is great, but they need to label more things because it's hard to know what you're looking at. They have the items in front of you, but the menu is on the wall and you have to guess if what you're looking at corresponds with what you're reading. For a place that places so much value ($$) on ingredients and sourcing, you'd think they would put it right next to each item. In the grand scheme, this labeling thing isn't that big of a problem, but it's exacerbated by the young staff who 1. don't know what item it is either it 2. give you attitude if they are asked too many questions. I'll go back for the food and hope that the service I experienced and witnessed was a one-time thing.

There was a bit of a wait because it was busy, but the staff was pleasant and helpful. I ordered a dairy free cake for my grandson's (who has a milk allergy)1st bday. I was not a fan of the taste of the cake (I've never tried dairy free, gluten free)but he LOVED it. The cake was beautiful. I will try again because I think dairy free/gluten free is an acquired taste.

A warning for nut allergy families: The restaurant is geared towards people with gluten and dairy issues, but is not safe or accommodating to individuals with nut allergies. All bread and baked goods contain almond flour (nothing inherently wrong with that!), but troublingly: management does not take ownership of their mistakes when mislabeling ingredients. I recently ordered a dish that was clearly labeled with all ingredients, none of which were nuts, and was served a dish that contained walnuts. As a result, I experienced an anaphylactic reaction that sent me to the hospital. When I returned to the restaurant a few days later to speak to management about the mislabeled ingredient, I was informed that the allergic reaction was my fault for attempting to eat at a restaurant that is “not for people like” me. Additionally, the staff had not told their boss that it had happened, so no change or reforms were put into place. I would hate for this to happen to another family, so please be aware/careful.
