Drs. Ed and Lynn Lipskis are general dentists with special interest in orthodontics, facial development, TMJ and sleep apnea therapies. They have 20 years experience treating chronic pain patients and providing comprehensive orthodontic care. They have over 2500 hours of post graduate education in these fields. Both doctors are Diplomates of the American Board of Craniofacial Pain and The Academy of Clinical Sleep Disorders Disciplines.

Dr. Krysta Lilland is a general dentist and associate at St. Charles Family Dentistry. She graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and completed a one-year general practice residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and Iowa City VA Hospital.

My entire family have been going to St. Charles Family Dentistry for cleanings as well as orthodontic treatment for years. Dr. Ed and the rest of the dental staff are very professional and knowledgeable. However, I believe that having incompetent staff managing your billing can be the death of any business. My issue obviously has to do with the way things have been handled by their billing manager. She has failed at understanding how my insurance worked and has been charging me for services that have been covered by my insurance or been paid in full by me. Their office also fails at communicating or notifying patients about changes made in their office. They have questionable billing practices by charging patients more than is allowed by their insurance, which is a violation of the contract between the insurance company and the dental office agreement. Currently, I found a new dentist in the Saint Charles area and have seriously been contemplating reporting St. Charles Family Dentistry to the state for balance billing issues.

Not a business I want to associate myself with. 

Make sure you get in writing the cost of everything involved with the services that you are being provided and that they have check those values against what the insurance company covers. Else you might end up paying for something you didn't need and that is not covered by insurance.

This is not the place you want to go.

I rarely, if ever, write reviews, but I wanted to rave about them because it was such an excellent experience.  I was able to schedule an appointment right away.  The atmosphere of the office is wonderful -- very kid friendly while keeping it professional and clean.  I took my daughter in for a check-up and the hygienist and doctor used excellent analogies to explain the cleaning tools.  Further, they explained cavities in a fun and interactive way.  I would highly recommend this practice to anyone -- especially if you have children!

This place is going down hill. No communication at all. Just a head up to all, They require full payment of what ever the appointment is, and then they will charge your insurance after you have the full amount. After charging you they will get money from the insurance agency and wont reimburse you, like they said they would. Seems like a scam brewing. My family of 4 was a loyal patient, but seems like we will be finding a new dentist. Just word advice to the clinic, have better receptionists that give full detail when scheduling appointments. Dentists were not bad, but the way they have dealing patients upfront is bad.
