"Catholic Students Today Catholic Leaders Tomorrow"
St. George School is the third oldest school in our diocese and has been in continuous operation since 1920. Our school’s strength lays in our partnership with our students, their parents and our St. George Parish community. The Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange were the first teachers and administrators of our school. The Sisters of St. Joseph charism is: “We Live and Work to Bring People into Union with God and with One Another, through Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy”. That is still true today. The Sister's charism can be found in both our Community Service projects and in our school motto: "Catholic Students Today ~ Catholic Leaders Tomorrow".
Our purpose as a Catholic school is to prepare and support students as they become problem-solvers and competent citizens in the Twenty-First Century.
We, the Church of St. George, in union with the Diocese of San Bernardino, are a community of believers in Jesus Christ, called to impact family, neighborhood and society with the Gospel so that people's lives are filled with hope. We are committed to Evangelization based on Justice and Peace in the areas of Family, Youth, Leadership, Stewardship, and Organizational Structures, considering the diversity of our respective communities.
St. George School is an educational ministry of St. George Parish. Clergy, school administration, faculty and staff work in cooperation with parents to impact students with the message of hope. Students are taught Catholic traditions which include worship, the desire to serve others and to celebrate diversity. In partnership with our families, we strive to communicate learning as a life-long process, tempered by discipline, balanced by social and physical activities and guided by the values of our faith. Students are challenged to achieve their academic potential and become good citizens who are either wise leaders or responsible followers.
The purpose of St. George School is to provide a Christian educational environment for all students. Teachers act as facilitators to motivate students to take responsibility for their actions, their goals and their lives. Together with parents we strive to prepare students for their future, in our church and in our society.
