Went there yesterday. I really enjoy going there and sitting outside. The food is really good. However, the hostess seemed like she does not want to be there and had headphones on. She should be a little more friendly with customers and not have headphones on.
I went to St. James’ last weekend for a late lunch and was beyond satisfied with both the excellent service as well as the delicious food. I ordered the wings and the pretzel, which were absolutely superb, and I did not have to wait long, despite it being slightly crowded. Beers kept coming on time as well! Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was exactly what I was hoping for from an authentic Irish pub. Great spot in a great location. Would highly recommend to everyone and will 100% be returning for another pint.
The quality of the food has gone way down. My last visit I ordered the American Burger with the usual fixings. The patty was definitely the same you would get in a standard diner. It was overcooked and dried out. The bun had been over toasted - I could tell it was stale and the toasting was to camouflage that fact. My previous visit here I got the fish and chips. One piece of the fish was definitely “off” I brought it to the attention of the waiter, who had no reaction when I told him. It’s a shame because this place is cozy and does have the feel of an Irish pub and the food used to be good when I first started dining here several years ago. Unless you are just popping in for a pint, there are better places to dine.

Cosy little Irish pub, we had brunch - the fish & chips were awesome - and then moved to the bar to have several beers. The bar area was packed the whole time we were there so it was a fun atmosphere. Very attentive staff, it was a good experience visiting.
Great place! First time here... Didn't eat anything but enjoyed the beer and atmosphere... Staff was all amazing and we never had an empty glass or bottle... Definitely go!!
Quite possibly the worst food I’ve ever had. Cold, stale, and dry Mac and cheese; the only reason I let my child eat any of it was because she was starving after having waited for almost half an hour to get the food. Don’t even get me started on the pale, greasy, and absolutely unpalatable chicken strips. My veggie burger was barely edible. It hurt me to pay almost $90 for this meal. We basically filled ourselves on the fries which were quite possibly the only freshly prepared item.
It was ok, they should write prices on the German Octoberfest table menu. I got the sausage plater and it was extremely expensive for the 3 pieces of sausage I got one was good but the other 2 just tasted like cheap hot dog.
Terrible fig salad. $21 with itty bitty shrimp, figs that taste strange, and a "bed" of greens that is more of a cheap cot. Don't bother letting the wait staff know you're displeased either.
Great vibe, clean, spacious, cozy, dark but not too much, and fireplace. Awesome service, great menu, good food and drinks. Exactly what you look for in a comfortable bar!Food: 4/5
