We support the Main Library. We post upcoming events including programs and book sales; and photos from those events. Our goal is to keep our members up-to-date on what's happening in our library!

Story

We are a dynamic team of volunteers, supporting the Main Library in beautiful downtown St. Augustine, FL. We raise funds for programming, materials, technology, furnishings and any other identified needs that can not be met through the traditional library budget. We are the Main Library's very best Friends!

This is my favorite branch.  The location is great, staff is helpful, and selection is pretty good.  Kids area and park are both fun for the young ones.

This library has some serious organization problems. The seating area for computers is very small, so there is an overflow area of seats and outlets against the wall. However, they've put the DVDs and media right in front of these seats, so that there is a constant stream of people walking directly in front of you. Combined with the construction that is making it hard to get into and out of the library, it's becoming a location to avoid.

Horrible they are very rude to the homeless people. They are racist and the people who sit outside to wait for the library to open the two men in glasses who works there comes out and tells everyone that they can't be waiting outside the library . Very unprofessional. They do not know how to treat people o would not recommend this place to anyone.

The rudeness starts with the security guard and extends to the rest of the staff.   The security guard is on a power trip.   The staff is rude and unfriendly.   It seems that a lot of the St Johns county employees are nasty.   I will file a complaint with the county comission.
