Just want to say THANK YOU to the entire ER staff. Quick check-in, friendly, professional service. The doctors, nurses and techs were great. Was my second time to St. Joseph and both times best treatment and experience I've had. Word of caution, if it gets any better may check in just for the special feeling you get from the staff. CARE that's what they demonstrated, thank you.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I took my daughter in this evening after she hurt her ankle (1 year old). She's an extremely active kid and wouldn't put any weight on that leg. The doctor came in and never even stated his name, nor did he say hi or acknowledge her. He never even spoke to her. He then asked if we had her shoes so he could see her walk (which we didn't bring in with us considering she wasn't walking from an injury). Then made a smart comment along the lines of "well make sure you wash her feet when you get home". He never even touched her foot. Or even compared it to the other one. He kept glancing oddly at us wondering why she was crying when we would attempt to stand her on her hurt ankle. Since the X-ray didn't show a break or fracture he had absolutely no suggestion as to why she wouldn't walk or even what we should do. I guess I'll have to take her to her pediatrician who is actually trained on how to treat a pediatric patient. Hopefully the adults are treated better at this place 👍

My Father has Alzheimer's and lives in a memory care unit close by. He has been to this hospital several times due to frequent falls. This last experience was poor. They don't seem to understand the nuances that come with treating Alzheimer patients. They left tags on him from the Scan, did not attempt to make him comfortable when he was struggling to breath and actually turned off monitor buzzers without coming in to verify his condition. They taped an IV on to a fresh dressing that had been changed the day before, it actually had the date written on the dressing! One bright light was a tech who came in for wound care and proceeded to put him on oxygen, elevated his head and made sure he was comfortable. It was the tech who came in and made the difference, not the nurses. While it's great to have a hospital like St. Joseph's in our community, there is significant need for improvement on emergency room patient care.

Your emergency room doctors/nurses are incompetent! My child was seen there on numerous occasions and failed her! Just because they couldn't figure out what was wrong they had the audacity to insinuate " she was faking" and " maybe had some behavioral issues.Or even anxiety?? Excuse me?? I beg your pardon?? And then to add insult on top of all of that asked me if there was any significant changes in the home?? My response NO!!!! My child is very manner able and well behaved. Also honor roll never had any problems in school or any programs she's participated in. Her teachers and even the other nurses at St Jo main complemented on how well behaved and mannerable she is. And said mom what ever you're doing you're doing a great job. And that they can always tell. So for them at St Jo south to try and label my child because they couldn't figure it out is appalling and I almost hit the ceiling which I'm sure that's what they were expecting from a minority. Well guess what??? All that attention seeking, faking, behavioral issues you tried to label her with you were WRONG!!! And I kept telling you all this. She was actually in pain like I told you she was and for good reason!!! And the doctor at St Jo main couldn't believe your statements and said he was surprised she wasn't in more pain than she was considering what he found. And that she was one tough cookie. Even one of the doctors who saw her when we returned was floored by his peers rude and insensitive statements/comments. I hesitated to return because my child was treated this way but the on-call doctor at St Jo main called in advance because I told her about the rude and insensitive doctors we had encountered. And in her doing so we were lucky to arrive and be immediately taken back and treated with the utmost dignity and respect this time by a doctor who was so kind and understanding and was in shock that his peers were so insensitive and rude. However I did encounter one of the nurses who treated her before and seemed to think my child was seeking attention!!! I told her she too was wrong and what they discovered at St Jo main. And yet she still had the same attitude and said that my child couldn't tell her exactly where it hurt???? Duh she's a child and she did tell you exactly where but you didn't believe her. Did you expect her to name the organs that hurt my heart, my lungs, my kidneys, my ovaries etc!!!!!!! Please you're just as bad for your behavior!!! Wonder if it were your child/ grandchildren you wouldn't appreciate it nor tolerate me as a nurse or doctor telling you these things!!!! My ass would be reprimanded and or fired. Reached out to the Director and ER manager on numerous occasions. But I must say thank you to the male Dr. who was there this last visit. There should be more doctors like you. Who listen and not dismiss the patient/ parent complaints and concerns. Update: Just spoke with ER manager and she assured me that she would speak with team members and this would not happen again. Thank you for reaching back out to me to address this issue.

Have no idea where the negative reviews are coming from, because my stay in this hospital was nothing but pleasure. I had to come here in emergency childbirth. I have never been here before, they took me and transferred from ER to childbirth immediately. I had great, super caring and professional nurses, doctors and other staff. I enjoyed my stay in this clean, neat and new hospital. I had great experience and will recommend it to anyone.
