I live in Valley Park, Missouri since June of 2012. I love the area it's peaceful, clean. I could never afford to live out here but, thank God I am here. I have a great Property Manager!! Mrs. Ellen LaChance, I just thank God for her, too. She looks into things that needs to be looked into & don't take your word for it. I'm SAD to see the property being sold (because Mrs. LaChance will leave). I give God THANKS for the time we had with her and everyone else that was HELPFUL!!! (I would like to name names but, for safety reasons I will not). Well, There's a New Day Ahead!!! Ahead!!!

I am totally disabled and almost completely home bound. Having assistance with my rent has allowed me to stay in my home with my children rather than in a nursing home. My worker has been incredibly helpful and has familiarized herself with my case, allowing her to be able to understand and help where needed. If it weren't for her, I cannot imagine where myself or my children would be. That being said; front desk leaves much to be desired. My recent re-certification appointment was an absolute nightmare and I never made it out of the waiting room. As someone 'living' with organ failure and the machines that come with it, I require medical transportation. Unfortunately it is not always perfect. Late transportation got me to the office 15 minutes later than I needed to be there. I'm wheeled in, both arms in braces-one in a sling, and my mask since I'm not suppose to be exposed to large groups (and thats all the waiting area is), and after taking a number and waiting another 20 minutes to be called just to check in; my care worker is told I'll have to come back after three pm since I was late. She tried to explain that med trans was late and at $100 round trip I really couldn't afford to come back. The lady was completely unconcerned. 3:45 pm..another $100 round trip wasted when we return and find out that she meant AT 3, not after...Oops, her bad. After worrying for a week about my kids ending up on the street if I can't find another hundred bucks to get to my next appointment, I was able to reach Ms Stakes on my care workers phone and she, as usual, solved everything. She is sending out the paperwork I need and totally understands. After dealing with the lack of humanity in the front office, I wish everyone could have someone as wonderful as my worker to remind them that not everyone at government agencies are hateful jerks, some actually care ans allow it to show.

Caseworkers are rude and do not do their job. Do not return phone calls and when you go there, they refuse to see you....So over St. Louis
