I would like to write a honest review about SLPMS. I am going to keep my name private..
I believe that this schools lacks the real reason of teaching, everyday I walk into this school and see people who do drugs and drink alcohol (these people need help that the schools is not giving to them). Every day is just more fighting... Not to mention the principal does not handle these situations correctly. The bullying never stops here! Fix these issues, the principal cant stand on the sideline his whole life  watching this happen. The only reason why I would even give this school is because I had 2 teachers (not saying names) that actually believed in me.
This is why I am applying for Eagle Ridge Academy.

Think twice about sending your kids here

Starts too early, (7:30), there are too many kids in one place, and in some classes I feel like I have to teach myself what the teacher is too busy dealing with other kids to teach. I developed depression here, and aside from one or two AMAZING teachers (Lashley, Moore, Lillie, you guys are the best) it seemed like no one cared or had the ability to help. Kids swear, fight, do drugs and it seems like no one who should can or will do much. Never actually see the principal except on special occasions 😕 Although there are definitely high points, because of crowding, (kids have to eat in the hall) lack of tech and general funding, if you have a choice, go somewhere else.

Gym is pointless, and so is some of the dress code, and CERTAIN TEACHERS aren't exactly the greatest also tech ed is bad, Would not revisit except for the fact that i still have one more year at this place
