Jesus Christ calls us to be a joyful community that celebrates God's love, transforms lives, and is a force for justice in the world.
SUNDAY WORSHIP
Our contemporary, 8:30 a.m. Service for the 8th Day is held in the intimate space of our chapel. Our pastor leads this service and invites discussion from those in attendance.
Our traditional 11 a.m. Service for the Lord’s Day is held in our sanctuary.
Both services include Communion and Prayers of the People.
In summer, one service is held, at 9:30 a.m.
WE ARE A 'MORE LIGHT' CHURCH
St. Mark’s is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), and proud to be a leader in advocating for full participation of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons in the entire life of our church. We are a member of More Light Presbyterians, a nationwide network of churches that worked to change our denomination’s policy so that LGBT persons can now be ordained as Elders, Deacons and Ministers of the Word and Sacrament. We celebrate this change and promise to welcome all God’s children into our church family.
OUR PURPOSE: Jesus Christ calls us to be a joyful community that celebrates God’s love, transforms lives and is a force for justice in the world.
The mission of St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church is to “do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with our God.” This passage from Micah 6:8 reflects our core belief that we are called to work for justice for the poor and marginalized, to minister to each other and to the world with loving kindness, and to live into God’s Word to us.
