St. Mark's is located in the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland and we are a congregation of the Episcopal Church which is a body of over 2 million Christians in the United States. The Episcopal Church is a province of the worldwide Anglican Communion- the family of churches that trace their descent and Apostolic Succession from the Church of England. The Anglican Communion consists of 38 independent “provinces,” and around 80 million members worldwide making this the world's third largest Christian denomination.
At Saint Mark’s, we:
Welcome seekers and encourage exploration of the Bible and understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Offer a variety of historical and contemporary Episcopal practices.
Nurture each member throughout the journey in life and faith.
Embrace and celebrate the special gifts and needs of children as citizens of the Kingdom of God.
Challenge each member to practice faith in daily life, to build community, share gifts and talents, and reach out in love and concern for others.
