St. Matthias exists to proclaim through Word and Sacrament, Jesus Christ the same, yesterday, today, and for ever.
The people of St. Matthias meet as members of Christ’s Church: of God’s universal family, to confess our common faith, to bring to God the offering of our common worship, to bring to him each his own particular joys and sorrows, successes and failures, and all our needs.
Uniting them with those of his whole family here present with the whole Church throughout the world, with the faithful departed, with the saints and the holy angels.
To bring them to God our Father through Jesus Christ our Lord, in the power of the Holy Spirit.
To hear God’s Word, to receive God’s gift of salvation, life, and peace.
We exist "to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ." Ephesians 4:12
