Story

A diverse community in the heart of the Grove where all are welcome to Christ's table. Traditional High Mass, prgressivel ideals. We take God seriously but ourselves not so much!

We seek out, invite, and welcome all people and encourage them to join us in a life of worship, mercy, justice, learning, and service.

St. Stephen's has a contemplative 8 a.m. Sunday mass that I highly recommend. It is a small service, quiet, with prayers and chanting to the light of candles.  For Holy Eucharist, we gather around the small altar in the chapel for communion in the true sense of the word as we share the Lord's Supper. I find it a good way to center myself at a time of too much political and social strife.

This is truly the most inviting and community based church in Coconut Grove. Soooo glad I found it.

A wonderful inclusive and welcoming church.   Good music, too.

Once a great church, but LOTS of people have been leaving in the last couple of years. Now it's a sick place. Only "welcoming" if you leave your heart and brain at home.

St. Stephen's is a great, welcoming church - high Mass every Sunday at 10:30 plus liberal attitudes and an active, interesting community from all walks of life.  Check it out - you'll come back.
