My wife went looking for a CU to place a few thousand dollars for a future cruise. She went to the teller who informed her that unless she had worked at a hospital, the sheriff's office or for the state she could not open an account. 

She responded that she had both worked at and had students in ICU at SMH,  taught at LSUMC (now LSUHSC) and at CHSN. She did not mention that her best friend in Slidell mothered our current sheriff. 

Because she now met the requirements she was sent to another individual to open an account. She was asked for two government issued IDs so she produced her DL and her medicare card which the young black female said did not meet the "Patriot's Act" requirement of a government issued ID.

While at the bank my wife noticed that all the employees and patrons present were millenials and stated she was not as upset as she might have otherwise been for the age discrimination she had experienced. Good job CU employees!

Originally I would highly recommend this company. But after banking with them for over a year with responsible payments, they denied me for a loan increase that I already had open with them and had been paying responsibly. Reason: I switched employers, and had not been employed for more than 6 months with the new employer. Great way to show customer appreciation. After I pay off my car loan and small signature loan with them, I will no longer be affiliated with this company.
