The rustic sites are cramped together and out in the open. Stayed during a holiday weekend so I was required to reserve for a 3 night minimum. Didn't even stay for the last day.

We use to stay in there cabins and had a great time, but keeps changing management companies and one year didn't get the advanced notice to book the cabin for returning customers and couldn't get our cabin so stopped going. Also the last year we went cabins weren't very clean. Had to clean cabin ourselves before bringing our stuff in.

My family stayed there for 3 nights July of 2017. Lakeside lots are nice. Real nice in fact. Close to the water and kids can swim. Beach is not that great, but it's serviceable for younger kids. Town is nice and has a couple attractions. The facilities are ok. Not as nice as state parks. Showers were really not as nice. Floors gross and some run cold. The older man that manages it is pretty grouchy. Kind of a loudmouth, drill sargent style. He keeps it clean on the grounds though. All of this would be reasonable though as it really is a beautiful place and they can be fixed, but....... ...the worst part is that there is literally a pile of goose poop every square foot. It took us almost 45 minutes to clean up the poop with a shovel just to pop up the camper. Walking anywhere is almost impossible. Riding bike means tires are flinging it everywhere. The playground was impossible to walk through. It was no good at all really. If you had a real little kid, you'd never set them down. I'll never book there again.

I enjoyed this park, nice and quiet! Our campsite was very large (spot #2) and faced the lake. The shower/bath house was very clean, showers are free and go in 5 minute increments. There was a port a potty right next to our spot, which was beneficial, but every now and then you caught a whiff. My one and only issue which I know can not be prevented due to nature, was the goose poop, which was quite abundant around the grassy camping areas.
