Stallings Volunteer Fire Department has been serving the needs of our community since it was organized and incorporated on July 19th 1954 by Stallings residents E.E. Austin, Oliver Duckworth, Herbert W Fincher, G. Ira Broome, Carl Stallings and I.S. Noles.

The Stallings Volunteer Fire Dept was one of the 1st in Union County and has continued to grow to it's current size of approximately 50 members under the direction of Chief Charlie Porter, Deputy Chief Bryan Kindley and the Board of Directors.

Stallings Fire Dept started in a small building near the intersection of Old Monroe Rd and Potter Rd. In 1970, a larger facility was built and remained the headquarters until 2002 when it was moved to it's current location at 4616 Old Monroe Rd. The current facility is 14,000 sq ft with 10 bays, a full kitchen, training room, offices and sleeping quarters. While still maintaining room for future growth.

The department started with 1 truck in 1954 and currently maintains 8 vehicles to service the community including three engines, a ladder truck, rescue truck, a brush unit and, and two quick response vehicles.

These guys are great. They came out to our school and showed the students the fire truck. They also showed the students how to crawl under the smoke. They had one fire fighter, slowly, put on his gear. This way the students would be less afraid when and if they see a firefighter in full dress. They gave the kids little goodies for them to take home as well. I also was able to get them to check my infant carseat to make sure it was correctly installed before I had my baby. Just call ahead of time to make sure that the certified inspector is at the fire house.

Went to the fire station for Halloween and it was the best and safest I have ever felt inside. They had a lot of local businesses giving away candy and coupons for their businesses. It was a lot of fun and look forward to next year's event. Keep up the great work guys.
