Starbucks is one of those few companies standing on the hard labor of mostly young and friendly staff. I have been coming here often for the last 5 months, there are lots of familiar staff faces shout out Luisa, Jenny, Julian and many others from whom I can’t read their name tag! working at full speed. It seems they are always under stress because this is a busy store, particularly heavy on online ordering. There’s one person in particular that always stood out, Abby a young man who I believed to be the manager -but he’s not- who every time someone came in, shouted a greeting, welcoming them. I never got to see him idle, he would help all stations, refill beans, run orders, and collect himself to talk warmly to customers, like if we were the only important thing at the store. It’s a sad day for Starbucks and the community who visit, because it’s Abby’s last day! And it’s the first day of a brilliant life for Abby!!! with your work ethics, intelligence and genuine warmth, you will triumph ANYWHERE you go, Abby!! Thank you for your hard work, it’s never unseen Your parents must be rightfully proud of you! Parking: For a quick pickup you may want to park at Safeway, otherwise side streets have both, paid and free parking.
Flies in the food cabinets . It looks like they are enjoying the freshly made croissants but then some resting in corner after over eating .Staff do not seem to care . Never going to that location againFood: 1/5
I ordered 5 drinks 2 of them are the same caramel frap she decided to only make one of them I don't understand why she couldn't make them both if there identical orders and jumped to other orders. So I've been waiting for over 10 minuets and I still only have 1 of 5 drinks made and others have come and gone......Service: 2/5

Great family feel and great hangout spot! One of the best Starbucks I been in.
Such a weird Starbucks. I live nearby and have given this place a try a few times, but after my last experience, I’m not coming back. I ordered online before I left the house and I still had to wait 15 minutes for my order. They don’t put out items as the come out, and wait for the whole order, which leads to inefficiency in getting drinks and food on the counter. Baristas seem confused by their own order system and kept checking and rechecking the names on items and wouldn’t call out the names. A few minutes after I left, the lid popped off my drink and it spilled all over me and the cup and I couldn’t get the lid back on. They are clearly using defective cups or defective lids. It’s unfortunate this place is run so ineffectively as it’s in a major location in the village. Wish someone else would replace it with a well run cafe.
I went in today Christmas eve around 11 and ordered some drinks. Super crowded. When I got one iced I told the batista kindly that i hadn't said iced and asked If I could get it remade hot. They were kind and quickly fixed it BUT! I apparently had said iced and forgot. I want to completely thank the workers for making me a new one so sweetly during such a busy time and when I was totally in the wrong. I'm giving this place 5 stars just for the workers today!
I live on the east coast but I read in CNN that a worker at this starbucks died after chasing after a man that stole his laptop in this starbucks on mountain Blvd. Definitely not hella safe.
The staff at this location is great, and its well managed and clean. But the location itself is an eyesore. Montclair doesn’t need a Starbucks, give your money to local business owners, not corporate overlords who don’t have a vested interest in the community they serve and the employees who work there.
