I came here September 2nd and was helped by these two polite employees working the register. I’m assuming one was in training and the other was training him. I ordered my order with no problem. Everything was fine. Until I tried my Matcha frappe, where I noticed it tasted like strawberry water. I contemplated on taking it back to the counter and asking them to make it again. I deal with really bad anxiety. However, didnt want my money to go to waste. I informed them I didn’t like my drink and that I’d like to have a strawberry açaí refresher instead. She says OK and begins to ring me up for the drink. I ask her may she refund the frappe so that I can use that money to pay for the refresher. She says it’s Okay she'll just give it to me for free. I tell her I’d rather be refunded and pay for the refresher because the frappe cost more. She says she’ll have to speak to her supervisor. Jose came out and he wasn’t carrying welcoming energy. They tried to find my order on their register, but couldn’t so they asked me to pull up my order on the app. I asked him how do I do that? He says nothing so I figure it out myself. I showed him what I thought was my most recent order and he just takes my phone out of my hand without my permission. He then says that’s not the right order and gives me my phone back. After a while he was able to refund me. I walk away quickly due to me being uncomfortable with his attitude and energy. I come back because I realized he did not take my order for the new drink that I wanted. So I’m just standing there. There are no other customers in line. I see him, see me standing there, but he chooses not to ask if there’s anything else I need help with. He looks over my way a few more times, and says nothing doesn’t approach me and ask me “did I forget something” or anything. I don’t appreciate him not acknowledging me as a customer, a paying customer at that. I’m not sure what type of preconceived notions Jose may have had about me. I wasn’t a rowdy customer. I wasn’t a loud customer. I was very polite, as always. Doesn’t training consist of tests that prevent this unconscious bias? The other two that were helping me in the beginning disappeared. Jose even brings out this girl from the back and intentionally tells her to work the opposite register from the one I was standing in front of, the exact same one that he refunded me on. After me meeting their supervisor, it all makes sense why majority of the other employees are rude and unprofessional. It's because their supervisor sets that example. The girl he brings out sees me waiting there with a confused look on my face and then asked me if I need help. She even apologizes. However, she shouldn’t of apologized. It was not her fault. It was her supervisor’s fault. She takes my order and I go about my day. I began to sit and eat my sausage, egg, and cheddar sandwich that I bought in the first order but I noticed something inedible on my egg. I have provided a picture below. I couldn’t eat it with whatever that was on there. I wanted a refund for that too but after the uncomfortable situation that I was in regarding the refund of the horrible drink I just left. Make sure you check your egg sandwiches before eating them.
Every time I come here they do the apposite of what I ask for , for example today I asked for two hot grande light caramel maciato , instead I got no caramel and to cheese dainish and they never gave me a receipt , when I went up there they didn't even get the order right and the manager said if I got a free drink by them bc there was only charged for 3 items , .....I was like I payed for everything
This place was Quick ! 9:45 am on a Wednesday. Nor bad. I went inside, Of Coarse the Drive through was 6 cars deep. But, on the inside, I was #1 in line! Whoop-Whoop Food: 5/5
Nice new location. Plenty of seating. Drive thru!! But a very small parking lot. Staff is nice and playful in my experience. It's in front of a bus stop so you get some characters from time to time but overall good.
Ordered an iced London fog with oat milk, but it came back watery :/ The vibes are good though, and the baristas are really friendly. I've enjoyed every song they've played over the speakers so far. Lots of seating with tables, so it's a good place to studyFood: 4/5
Starbucks, who doesn't love some Starbucks? This location is off of Crenshaw Blvd just two 2 miles south of the 105 Fwy in the city of Gardena. You must try their new Carmel Ribbon Crunch+cheese danish and one espresso will make your day, a great one!!!
I came today to order a matcha iced the service was rude as heck the person at the first cashier left me at the register because they were out of chai then the second barista a guy ordered my drink wrong and argued me down about how I asked for it instead of apologizing I needed waiting ten minutes for an ice matcha latteFood: 2/5
The place is so pretty and nice, it was also really clean. The person helping us out also was really nice. They were really quick too.Recommended dishes
This Starbucks is my favorite. Most of the time, they have excellent customer service on the weekdays; however, on the weekends they have very, very bad customer service. They never made my drink right. They have the same supervisor every weekend in the afternoon. He is very very rude and argumentative. Instead of checking my order, and making corrections; he comes to the drive thru window and agrees. He doesn't have any leadership skills, he is bad example to the Starbucks employees.
Just no real atmosphere to chill in,,, have been to much better.Food: 5/5
