I am filing this review/complaint for my mother. She had Stark & Company PC file her taxes for 2014 and charged her $325.00. Her return was a simple return and did not need to be itemized, but to charge her more, they decided to itemize it un-necessarily. It is my understanding that based on her earnings, according to our accountant that I use, her income is a little over $1,000 a month and that alone excludes her from having to itemize her return. My accountant only charged her $40 for her return this year and she did not owe anything or get anything back from the government. She has neither gotten money back or owed anything for the last 5 or 6 years because of her limited income. So basically Stark & Company charged her $325.00 when they could have charged significantly less. II think they did this because she does not know any better at her age, she's 77 this year, and I think that's exactly why they did it, to take advantage of an elderly person. I am filing this complaint, and I intend on filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well.

If they are doing this to one elderly person, they are doing it to others as well. Be careful!
