Dear Indian Entusiast,
As the owner of Starklite Cycle, I would like to tell you a little bit about our company and the people who are here to help you obtain the parts you need or answer any questions you may have. On a personal note, 2013 marked my 28th year of working with Indian Motorcycles. My grandfather was the Indian dealer in Akron Ohio from 1918 till 1952. My father started working in the dealership in 1944, and purchased his first Indian in 1949. In 1955 he obtained his degree in Mechanical Engineering. Which has been one of the main reasons for the knowledge to design and manufacture the highest quality Indian parts presently made.
In 1971 his good friend Sam Pierce helped him to start his own business dealing exclusively with the manufacture of Indian parts and the service of Indian motorcycles. Up until that time he had done restorations and rebuilding Indians in addition to his full time job in aerospace. This experience, means that our establishment can give you the Indian owner the type of knowledgeable service that you need and deserve.
I started working on my first Indian at age five. I was given until my 16th birthday to have it finished, otherwise it would be sold. At age l6 and 300 days, I finished my Blue Rainbow l947 Chief in l982. I have won many awards with my Indian and ride it to many of the local cycle runs. In 1989 I graduated from California State University Long Beach with my Engineering Degree.
In 1980 Our new buildings were completed on our 15 acre facility. This has allowed us to expand our storage area so that we can stock the new and used parts necessary to give you our customers the most complete line of Indian parts available.
We are especially proud of our new catalog for the year 2012. We have spent the last three years assembling this catalog which to our knowledge is the largest all Indian Parts Catalog ever produced. We have included many color photographs of our parts. For your enjoyment we also included the History of the Indian Motorcycle Company from 1901-1953, and the History of Starklite Cycle. We have also included many of the original Indian Parts Catalog diagrams, and some of our own diagrams to clear up the confusion that Indian left us with.
Remember, if you need a part not listed in this catalog, please contact us, we can almost always find the part you are looking for. We have the largest variety of quality Indian parts available Amy where !
Sincerely,
Gary Stark
