Been hitting up Star-lite in Edinburg off 107. I've tried their regular burger, steak burger, onion rings, and burritos... service never fails to be quick, efficient, and the food is deceivingly simple looking but packed full of flavor.  This is the fish sandwich from today...looks fairly innocent until you take the first bite. Check the ratio of fish to bread...and it had 2 filets on there as well. I love tartar, here they go with mayo, which also pairs well with the fish burger. Nicely cooked...the right amount of crisp on it, and very fairly priced. Where else do you find a fish burger for about $6? The answer...no where else.  And there was some talk on here about burritos...well I've been digging these burritos since my childhood, over 30 years ago. I remember my parents taking me to eat burritos here as a child, well there's a reason why this location has lasted this long to where I can now take my own kids for a burrito. They are nicely fried, have plenty of filling, and are not dried out. Take notes Stripes...this is how burritos are done.  This is an Edinburg staple for a reason...5/5 stars.

Ordered a basic Cheeseburger and it was good for the price, could have been better if they made it how I Ordered it but it was no big deal. Need to go back and get the double Cheeseburger and update this review  Update: Went back for a double meat double cheese and forgot the extra cheese, and the meat was dry.  Price was close to Whataburger's double double,  so I'll pay just a little bit more and get WB instead!

They not only have real good food but a tree they decorate for every holiday, I love it  I wish I could give reviews every month instead of updating but oh wellFood: 5/5

This place used to be my go-to however after today’s service it isn’t. I was told my food would be out in 10 mins. I waited a total of 40 mins and still hadnt gotten my food. At 40 mins, I went inside and asked for my food. When the lady looked at me, I could tell she had forgotten about me because she was like “ oh yeah. What did you order again?” It was at that point that I made the decision to just get my money back. I’m fine with waiting for food. That’s not an issue. It becomes a problem when the cashier says 10 mins and in reality, it was 40. I didn’t receive an apology or anything either. Terrible service.

Every time I only order the fish sandwich combo, and man let me tell you it's delicious,  I want to take picture of it, but want to eat it before it gets cold I don't have a chance.Food: 5/5

This is a wonderful place to sit and eat a quality plate of soul food!  It has that comforting vibe from yester-year. The staff is great. The food tastes like it is made with the same recipe and technique used for generations. There's nothing like some Starlight fried chicken. No other fried chicken place can compare.Food: 5/5

The food is exceptional the lines are long but worth the wait. Theyre chicken is delicious and for a kid the hamburger definitely hits the spot. I've been going here since I was a child and not much has changed great place with great memories.  Parking: Don't get trapped in there parking lot because once tht drive thru line forms ur stuck for a long while trying to get out.
