Story

J&J Dance dba Starz Dance Galaxy is dedicated to providing families a creative and professional atmosphere where their children can develop skills, build self-esteem and make memories for a lifetime. Our instructors are "Out of this world and simply the BEST!" Our staff's love of and care for our students promotes self-confidence, pride and FUN! The Starz Dance Galaxy staff is professionally trained with many years of teaching experience!

Each staff member has been trained to follow our own class curriculum leading our students in a successful program of dance, tumbling totz, musical theatre, and more! You will notice very quickly the dedication that each member of the staff brings to their classes week after week. They are creative and devoted to the students that have been place in their care! Our staff continues to expand their knowledge by continuing their own dance education year after year to share with their students. We feel the most impressive and important aspect of our studio is our valued students and staff!

Our mission is to provide a professional dance instruction in a positive learning environment with classes tailored to each student's ability and interest and using innovative teaching techniques to develop skills, love, and appreciation for the art of dance.

Starz has been recognized by several regional and national dance associations, publications, and competitions including: Federation of Dance Competitions, Dancer Magazine (Top 25 Dance Studio), Dance Teacher - Magazine for Dance Professionals and Dance Spirit.

Mission

Since 1999, Starz has offered, and continues to offer, dance instruction for every age with professionally trained staff. Our state-of-the-art facility has three spacious dance rooms with marley sprung floors to prevent injury. We have observation windows for parents to view their dancer. Starz Dance Galaxy also provides Wi-Fi access and a flat screen for your enjoyment while you wait.

Do you guys have musical theatre? For teens ?

I was searching for a dance school to put my son and after reading the whole review of marih Van and the owner (Phil)response i dont think its a good idea for me to even call.. i think his response was very unprofessional (no matter if she was wrong or not) due to the fact that they should keep this private (at least the behaviour part) its upsetting to think that my most loved person it could be surrounded by these persons. Phil its not what you said  its how you said it.

I am incredibly unhappy with my experience with Starz dance Galaxy fern park location in Casselberry. I know that every location is different that is why I specified it's location. My daughter was four when we put her in classes. A thing to know about my daughter is she had a stroke when she was three and was diagnosed with epilepsy at four. I had informed the school and especially the teacher of my daughter's disabilities cause by her stroke and the teacher was not patient with her at all. She constantly kicked her out of class and would tell me all that she did wrong in front of the other parent's who were not aware of her condition. I felt that was very unprofessional. When I expressed my concerns with the management they said they would speak to the teacher but nothing was resolved. My daughter knew she was being treated differently and would beg me not to take her to class cause she would just get kicked out again. It broke my heart! I spent a lot of money to get her recital dress and she didn't even get to attend and even if she did she would know her dance because she kept being asked to leave. The school refused to refund me my money. You should treat every student equally and if there is a problem with the child talk to the parent privately! If your teachers cannot work with children with special needs please let that parent know because the child should not have to suffer because the teacher is too impatient for them!

As a parent, we all want to see our children grow up to be the best version of themselves they can be.  We want to surround them with positive people in their lives to guide them in the right direction.  People who care for their wellbeing, people who inspire them and make them dream the impossible is always possible.  People who help them grow both mentally, physically and emotionally.  
If dance is your child’s passion, this is the studio for them.  This studio teaches amazing technique, but to me, they teach so much more than that.  I am grateful for the amazing staff at Starz. They care for and love my children as if they were their own.  They dare them to dream that anything is possible if you just try. They push them to be the best that they can be, while never adding unneeded pressure.   I have seen my children explode with confidence and self-esteem here at Starz.  There is a true spirit of teamwork here that we are so proud to be a part of.   
We came to Starz for my girls to explore their love for dance. …. We leave everyday with so much more than that.
