This is a wonderful place to bring the family!! We love it. It has large arcade area with tons of games, which my kids loved. It has a good-sized laser tag arena, which the whole family loved. It also has bowling, but we did not partake in that. We ate lunch there, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend their pizza and fries!!
Planet Fun and Starz Grille is a great place for cheap entertainment and good food. Staff has always been awesome. We like the cosmic bowling on Saturday nights. At 10 pm it starts and you can bowl for the rest of the night for one price, $13 a person I think. Order some food and drinks and eat right at your lane. They have a full bar and lots of beer options. And if you don't what to hear the noise of bowling, the restaurant side is roomy and nice. We order food there often for take-out and have nothing bad to say. So take the kids, with and arcade with winnable prizes, laser tag and bowling there's plenty to do.
The staff at the bowling alley are wonderful. The bowling area was exceptionally clean and organized. We ordered from the concession stand too. Prices for bowling and concessions were very reasonable. I would recommend to families looking for something to do on a rainy day.
The food is good, but inconsistent. Sometimes, you get two large pieces of fish, other times you get two very small pieces of fish that, together, are not as much as one of the large pieces. They can't seem to keep wait staff - we eat there once & twice a week for a while now - never see the same staff. That said, maybe they should train them a little? Like, when you bring the meal, you should also provide silverware and napkins at the same time. When the customer asks for lemon for their tea or the fish, you should bring it right away - NOT two bites before the meal has been finished. Or, one time, refills and lemon never came. Our tip is typically generousa at 20-50% if the service is good. If not, it will be 5-10%. Wait staff should understand this.
Food is Great. Unfortunately, I got the fish, grilled the way I asked for it. But note, size / portion varied. Example: go in on a Monday it's the fish is small, go back a few days later or a week later, the same order is twice the size - no consistent -- always different. The staff very friendly, but seems like they really don't know how to work the table
We were on a vacation and staying in shallotte and saved this place for our last night for some family fun and bowling. We arrived around 5:45 PM and were told that the entire bowling alley was rented out due to a league playing. It was not advertised anywhere that the alley would be closed. Our 5 year old was disappointed so we let him to some of the arcade games. Many were out of order or didn’t work right when we would spend our credits on them. We finished up around 6:45 and the league was just starting to show up, meaning we could’ve played at least one game instead of them shutting everything down ahead of time. Another family we spoke to had shown up also from out of town around 5:15 and been told they couldn’t bowl either when there was no one from any leagues there. Very frustrating experience especially when this is said to be a good attraction in town. Unfortunately we won’t be recommending to anyone and we are upset our last day in town to have some fun was messed up from the low quality of this place.
Great place for birthday parties. Bowling, laser tag, arcade, restaurant, and drive up movie theater. The prices are reasonable. You will definitely get your money's worth. Ps. Hold on to your arcade cards. You can use them each time you visit without having to purchase a card
The arcade and bowling are fine, but restaurant us HORRIBLE. It took us 2 hours to get a quesadilla some wine and a burger. The staff at the restaurant was extremely rude too I asked the waitress if I could get another thing of ranch and she told me "ask the kitchen hun I'm swamped here" and there were only 3 other tables being used in the restaurant. If you avoid the restaurant and just eat somewhere else before you go the place is pretty fun. Had a wide range of arcade games and the bowling was more enjoyable than expected.
Our whole family ate there last night and the food was excellent. It was a little understaffed but who isn’t now the wait was well worth and the wait staff was amazing really good natured with a good sense of humor even when stressed. I will definitely be going back and also recommend them! 08/21/2022 at about 5:45
When we got there, we were told there was a wait to bowl. They had about 40-50 lanes and only 10 were in use. We were told there were two parties in front of us, so we assumed it would be about half an hour. We gave the very rude customer service lady our name. She said "I can't even give you a time". We went to play arcade games. Not a single game worked. Either they were broken down, didn't take the card, or the functioning was wrong. We spent 16 credits to play connect four, didn't work at all. I went and searched for a worker and told him and he said "I know"... did nothing to help us. We ordered some food from the concession stand. The employee here and food was the only saving grace this place had. Once we approached two hours of waiting for bowling we left, without bowling. This place is an understaffed, overfull money pit. Save your time and drive to North Myrtle instead. This place needs to be closed down.
