Empowering libraries to serve their communities
We provide leadership and expertise in developing library-related policies, activities, and assistance for school, public, academic, and special libraries. A primary goal of our efforts is to improve the ability of libraries to provide quality services to all Coloradans.
CSL staff provide consulting and training in areas such as 21st Century learning, strategic planning, library law, children's services, and state institutional library services. We also manage statewide electronic services such as AskColorado and SWIFT Interlibrary loan, and offer free copies of our brochures and publications.
Many of the Colorado State Library projects and services are made possible through federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
