It is a great SUNY school that offers an extremely  different world for students who have lived their entire lives in the city.

The location is extremely depressing and there are a lot of abandoned/worn out buildings nearby. It can be extremely overbearing mentally and physically, especially the latter. Prospecting students who live in the nearby Manhattan area would have a very difficult time coming up here, as it takes 4-5 hours to get here by car and 7 hours by train. The staff seems friendly, but not the best place for when you're depressed or have any other mental conditions. I strongly suggest not going here if you want a full fledged course or want to catch up or get ahead in credits, as there is a likelihood that you may miss a course or two, such as English, for example. Plus, there were condoms in the vending machines in the campus dorms.

The best school I ever attended. I earned a degree in Environmental Science, the most rigorous program they have. Yes, I'm smart.

Plattsburgh State University is a welcoming community of faculty, staff, and students. The campus life is booming with opportunities and the grounds are adorned with fantastic artwork. There are many hidden gems on this campus, like the Nina Winkel Sculpture Court and Sammy D's, a student-run restaurant. I am senior graduating in May 2017 and I am proud to be a Cardinal.
