Stateline Liquor is one of the 4 liquor stores that make up the whole of business in the place called Whiteclay, Nebraska. These 4 liquor stores exist only to sell alcohol on the dry reservation of Pine Ridge where it is illegal to sell or possess alcohol. These 4 businesses reportedly make a profit of $3 million a year, while the average income of Pine Ridge residents is less than $3500 a year. 

Alcoholism per capita at Pine Ridge reservation is now estimated at 80%...this means that if you lived there, 80% of the people you knew, cared about and interacted with would be chronically drunk.

The genocidal policies of the U.S. government continue to play out in places like Pine Ridge, where generations of abuse and poverty have left the people bewildered and despairing. White Clay's 4 liquor stores, including Stateline, are contributing to this by profiting off the despair of the Indigenous peoples instead of holding out to them the hand of brotherly love.

Some people at Pine Ridge are currently working to have these liquor stores shut down so that their families and friends may have less of temptation and more of a fighting chance to overcome the alcohol addiction that has crippled local society.

Shame on Stateline for making money off of this suffering.
