This place is gross. It's not the facility or staff's fault. The actual facility is nice and the staff were trying to do their jobs. I took my child to evening swim. We have not been to this pool in a very long time. I had a membership years ago and we would visit on members only nights or very early on Saturday morning. This place has gone down hill majorly. The other people at evening swim were mostly trash - wild kids ignoring the lifeguards, running around, being gross. A lot of horrible parenting going on. Some people were permitted to get in the pool fully dressed even though there are signs up saying swimsuits are required. This was disgusting to see when a very large woman was wearing a light gray tank top and it became totally see through...puke. There was also some teenage guy in the pool fully dressed with SOCKS on. Just....what the actual F? One kid was about 9 years old and legit wearing a thong swimsuit...like, where is your mother, and why haven't the lifeguards spoken to her about your totally inappropriate swimwear? Also why do they make suits like that for little kids? The concrete felt very slimy, the chairs had a lot of black mold, there was spilled food and an ice cream wrapper all over the ground under the chairs. The lifeguards seemed stressed and unfriendly, and I don't blame them because they work at a zoo. They seemed miserable. It just seemed dirty and gross, I couldn't wait to get home and take a scalding hot shower. I knew better than to visit during the day but I really felt like evening swim would somehow be a little better. It wasn't, it was the worst. We didn't even go in the locker room, I shudder to think of the horrors in there. We wound up leaving early. I would definitely never come back to this pool unless somebody rented out the entire facility for a private party. It's a shame Statesville can't have nice things. We will stick with other cleaner pools in surrounding areas from now on.

Haven't had much luck here.. we came to swim on a Saturday there was a leak and the fire department was working on filling the pool again. Well we pulled up and was told it would be around a hour, then after the hour maybe 10 more mins, then turned into another hour. It was awful. If we would have known it was gonna be so long we would have went elsewhere but thought were already here and what's a hour we can go grab lunch nearby and come back. Once the pool was open they did give us a discount on the admission price which was wonderful and I appreciate they did that. It was super crowed once we got in. So crowed it was miserable.. You didn't have room to swim, barley had room to move without bumping into someone. The "lazy river" is unlike no other, in a bad way. It's so crowed and people just seeing how fast they can get around it, bumping into you.. it's annoying. If you don't like crowds, stay away... Anyway after a terrible experience that day I said I wouldn't go back but my family got invited by a friend to go with her and her children so we decide to meet them there, this was actually Wednesday of this week and they were closed. You could tell it had rained but I don't know if it was a terrible storm that caused them to close or what. But it was a long wasted drive for nothing. I definitely recommend you call ahead and make sure they're open.. You never know with this place. Only thing I have good to say about this place is the staff is friendly and the admission prices and refreshment prices are reasonable.

My daughter enjoyed this place.the entrance for kids should be a lil less considering this is about the only water park entertainment for children and most parents are already struggling is one of the available place to keep children out the streets in da summer

They only like they own kind here "White People" Treat African Americans like garbage. If the children are running a mix of blacks & whites (While No Running is allowed) They only sit the blacks down on hot cement as punishment, while they legs & feet burning. Whites do what they want & all of the guards are BLIND TO IT. Trust me, they don't want AFRICAN AMERICANS here, but they know they'll be shut down & sued if they didnt serve us as well as any other race. RACIST AT IT'S BEST. STATESVILLE, NC

Great pool! Tons of space for adults to sit and relax while the kids play! Loved it!
