I was excited to try this after reading many positive reviews. However, despite the food being delicious, the customer service was poor. I had to wait 10 minutes just to be acknowledged by the waitressyoung black lady with long ponytail and she didn’t refill my water or bring paper napkins as requested I went ahead and asked someone else to bring it to me and refill my water and I had to wait over THIRTY minutes for my food. And she could of apologized for the wait but she didn’t and she didn’t even check on me during that thirty minute wait.
Amazing food and service! I can't stress this enough The service was great, Andy was the man! The old fashioned was delicious and so was the jerk lobster quesadilla! A great vibe indoor as well as outdoor seating! Later we had a dessert with some fudge and it came with a big glass of ice cream!Food: 5/5
Loved the location just across the road from FortLauderdale beach. Great food and service. Our waitress Amy was friendly and helpful. A must visit if you are in the area.Food: 4/5
My wife and I had a great lunch here. Food was amazing, service outstanding - Thank you Patrick! In fact the entire staff went above and beyond to make the meal great. They had a very tasty menu. I had the jerk chicken sandwich and my wife had the parpanelle pasta dish which we both enjoyed. Good selection of beers on draft as well. Highly recommended Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu, we didn’t have kids with us but other patrons did
Amazing spot great food and atmosphere. We enjoyed everything from the appetizers, main course and deserts . Location was also easy to find and you could sit inside or outside . Our server Devonne was the best and took care of us. We also met Kevin the chef and we had a great conversation.
My wife and I had a great Valentine's day experience. I tried to book last minute. Even though they were fully booked, we spoke to the chef and he was able to squeeze us in early. The food and experience was excellent. We had a few tropical drinks that complimented the Caribbean fusion food well. The crab corn bisque was tasty and went well with our salad. My coconut shrimp tacos were delicious. My wife had grilled Mahi cooked perfectly. As locals, we will definitely return to this restaurant that treated us like family and served us great food at a reasonable price.
My wife and I came here for their Thanksgiving buffet. Oh my gosh! Everything was great! Lots of attention from the staff. Chef Kevin came out several times to make sure we were doing well. Highly recommend. Came for a second time Sunday 01/05/20. Again, great service and even better brunch. HUGE and delicious French toast.
Nice location, food great but service needs improvement. Hello, you have customers. Wait time for service long, once you actually get to order , don't expect a check back to see how things are going. We stayed at Sonesta so gratuity was built into the price during breakfast. We tried dinner, still nothing changed. HMMM
Great service by Cory. He is attentive and professional, quick and organized. He definitely deserves a raise. The food is spectacular, no matter what you order. Best service I ever had eating in different places around the world.Food: 5/5
We decided to take a quick day trip from Orlando to the Fort Lauderdale Beach Area and ended up having a great dining experience at Steelpan Kitchen & Bar located in the Sonesta Hotel situated directly across the beach on the A1A. Their outdoor seating area was spacious and provided an island ambiance with the sound of the waves and a light ocean breeze coming in. Our server Amy was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and made suggestions based on our likes. The menu, with American-Caribbean fusion dishes, had just the right amount of choices to give us options yet not overwhelm us. We started with their Callaloo Artichoke Dip, then tried their Blackened Mahi, Island Coconut Shrimp Tacos, and Mahi Sandwich for our main course. We ended with a trio of their desserts which included the Lava Chocolate Fantasy, Steelpan Coconut Shell Sundae, and my absolute favorite, Key Lime Pie. All in all, it was a great dining experience from start to finish and we have decided to book a weekend to celebrate our upcoming 18th wedding anniversary.
