Conveniently located at the base of the Steens Mountain Cooperative Management Area. Also bordering the south end of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge next to the Blitzen River. Located on Oregon's new High Desert Discovery Scenic Byways system, right on the Steens Tour Route, just 3 miles east of Frenchglen.

This is a modest resort in one of the best places in Oregon. The cabin we stayed in was well appointed, clean and had a fully furnished kitchen which we enjoyed. Full size refer and stove made the difference. All the cabins are not as new as ours. It is rustic and is probably the best overall value in the area. We have traveled to Burns/Steens/Malheur area for 30 years.

Friendly owners. They are working very hard to make the the facilities very nice. Located about 3 miles east of Frenchglen, Or.

The place was nice and quiet, and rustic. The parking pads are gravel and could use a bit of extra leveling. The bathroom facilities were clean and well kept. I could tell that the place is getting work done and some of this work had generated debris that was was not the prettiest, but it was kept together and not strewn about. This is most likely because we visited during the off season. Cable access would have been nice also. The was a bright parking light in the park that stayed on all night and was a bit annoying since star gazing would of been much better without it... Overall, for the price and considering other options, I would stay here again.
