I had a horrible experience here sad to say. I was in Laura Leyves class with acting techniques 1. We were working on my scene in front of the class when she began to challenge me with my acting.. I had a bit of confusion as to what she was asking me so I asked her what she meant..she got frustrated really quick and began yelling and bashing me in front of the entire class. I walked out of the classroom to redeem myself because I was feeling uncomfortable with her yelling at me. When she came after she started yelling and saying horrible things and put her finger in my face trying to tempt me. I went back in the classroom to get my stuff because I refused to be spoken to in such a manner and she continued to yell at me in the class as I was crying and snatched my phone from me and scratches me in the process. I tell her what she did and she said no one in the classroom will tell on her and believe what I say. She got extremely physical with me and kicked me out the class. I called the cops on her to file a report because of the marks she left on me. She also cursed out my mom on the phone when my mom asked what happened. I wished I could have enjoyed the class but she was just too much.

A Drama School named after Actress Stella Adler. Stella Adler (February 10, 1901 – December 21, 1992) was an American actress and acting teacher. Teaches classes for the Dramatic Arts on Acting. I have attended several productions over the years from the graduating students. Several of Hollywood's known Actor's and Actress have studied there and their pictures grace the walls of the upper levels. Many have now moved on to Film and Television.

I have been producing theatre productions in Los Angeles for more than 20 years - and it was so nice to come back to the Adler! Our festival "SHORT + SWEET" ran for 3 weeks, with 62 plays and 300+ actors. I don't think any other theatre space could handle such an insane (and exciting) festival. We are so grateful - and I cannot wait to come back there to produce more show.

Best place to study acting. Stella Adler's technique is worth studying. The school offers the perfect environment and the people make you feel home and welcome immediately.
