5 stars is not enough for Steve Sekhon and his exceptional work and care in our recent purchase of a floating home.  Steve lives in a floating home himself and we started working with him last year. He educated us about the “nuts and bolts” of floating home life and we are grateful for all of his guidance.  Throughout the whole process, Steve was patient, very knowledgeable, positive and highly ethical.  He represented both the sellers and ourselves the buyers and we never questioned that he had both of our best interests at heart.  We highly recommend Steve and now regard him as a friend!

I enjoyed working with Steve from the very beginning of our interactions. He was extremely knowledgeable about the real estate market, giving me an intelligent market analysis and thorough recommendations for preparing my home for listing. He created a scope of work, estimated the prices, stuck to the budget and managed all of the work. He went above and beyond what I would expect from a typical agent and sold the property in a very short period of time, working with me to negotiate a very good deal with the buyers. If we could give him six stars we would! He recently helped us with the sale of our houseboat, and served as the broker for both us and the buyer. He guided us through  the process in an easygoing spirit of good will and fairness to all. He is thoughtful, kind, and was very sharp in tracking details and troubleshooting problems before they even arose! He knows the law well , was always very patient in explaining all the details to us in a way that we could understand, and always made time to sit down with us to talk through our concerns. We had a wonderful experience buying with Steve. He was genuinely interested in what we were looking for and found us just the right place. His experience and knowledge of the market and community had a huge impact and I don't think we would be homeowners without him! He guided us through the entire process and had excellent connections and recommendations for mortgage lenders, insurance, inspections, etc. Made the process so much easier. He also had excellent design advice and continued to work with me and check in after the home was purchased. He really goes above and beyond what I would have ever expected from a realtor.

I first became aware of his people skills and on handling real estate details when I saw his open houses and his signs placed efficiently and professionally and the houses presented well by his added little touches that give buyers that best impressions. He carried this focused style throughout our house buying process. He listened and incorporated our desires in his non-rushed manner.  And that trait alone elevates Steve from others, but he applies his talents to the big picture items first and then the little details, all with his full focus.  Steve found our dream home after first talking with us and patiently showing us a number of homes and with each one he zeroed in on our goal.  Simply, Steve understands people and he professionally excels in his craft.

Steve assisted us in buying the floating home we recently purchased in Sausalito.   Steve is by far the best broker I've ever worked with.  He's highly professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend time with.  He was a great help and resource through the whole process.   Steve was consistently helpful, including racing out to the property to fix things himself when the inspector called them out.  He knows the floating home community well, understands the technical details of hulls and pumps and financing, and knew the best contractors and service providers to call on once the sale was complete.  We never felt pressured and always felt we could trust his advice as we went through the negotiating and closing processes.    I can't imagine a better choice in our area, and highly recommend Steve.

I used Steve as our houseboat purchase real estate broker. He was extremely knowledgeable, affable and perceptive regarding my needs and aesthetic sensibilities. Once we found the perfect houseboat Steve managed the inspections and my hundreds of questions. I have never purchased a houseboat so I was lacking knowledge about hulls, electrical  hook ups, dock fees, etc......and Steve was patient and extremely knowledgeable about all things that are important to understand when purchasing a floating home. This in part comes from Steve not just living on a houseboat but doing all the construction work on his home. I needed a float for the pest folks and not only did Steve find one, he paddled it over to my home. All around he is a top notch realtor, Steve is a great listener and an all around sweet human being. I recommend him without hesitation. He is the BEST!

No amount of nice things said about Steve will ever be enough. I know without a doubt that I would not own my beautiful floating home without Steve by my side.  Steve is the opposite of a pushy salesman. The first time we toured it, he quietly excused himself to give me time to explore and discuss with my wife. I knew that we had to have it within minutes of touring the home. I also knew that I was going to have competition. Thankfully, Steve knows everything there is to know about buying and selling floating homes. Since this was our first time exploring that market, he walked us through all of the expected costs, introduced us to some potential lenders, and helped us craft a competitive offer for our floating home.  We were thrilled when our offer was accepted, but for Steve that’s when the real work started. He assembled a stellar team of professionals to help us make it through escrow, including a fabulous insurance broker, inspectors galore hull, home, ect, and a contractor to address some hot issues for the bank. No matter what came up, I knew that I could count on Steve. Whether he was meeting with the contractor so that I didn’t have to miss work or following up with the lender multiple times a day, he always seemed to have a smile on his face. Must be a side effect of hanging out on the docks!  I love my new forever home and am so thankful that I chose to work with Steve. You will be too!
