I highly recommend Tom Merriman at Stifel Bank and Trust for a home mortgage. Tom is very knowledgeable, fair, honest and reliable. If you are purchasing a home you should do yourself a favor and call Tom. I've even referred him to family members with less than perfect credit because Tom has programs for them and has helped many in the same situation.

Avoid at all cost. They will collect your payments, but fail to pay your escrowed hazard insurance leaving you without coverage and not even know it because every payment has been on time for years and your statement list the amount as deducted. They will change your account  number 4 times within a couple months and won't count your payment towards your mortgage (even though they cash your checks with the address and name listed on said check.) This will result in harassing phone calls sometimes multiple times a day and even later in the evenings; however, they will not leave any sort of message nor will they answer you when you pick up the phone to say "hello" as is customary... apparently only to some. The phone number they call from will not receive calls and the area code is not even the same state as the address you were mailing the checks to so you will have no reference to even link the possibility that this is a "legitimate" bank not just another scam. They will send you the 1st and 2nd foreclosure notice on consecutive days to which you will think WTH where is all my money going then? and why is the first notice a foreclosure notice? You will then call them wondering what happened, but will reach a very rude lady who insist "you need to stay on top of that." You will think, ok, so I changed to a new mailing address and account #, but apparently she is annoyed that people don't sit by the mail box waiting for an exciting new locations and account numbers that may or may not arrive from Stifel. You should not engage in any activity that may require more than a couple weeks away from home or anything ridiculous like that, but if you must make sure you have someone rifling through your personal and sensitive mail, just in case Stifel decides to change the address and account #... again. Simply put, " you need to stay on top of that" stuff. 
You will probably scratch a balled spot in your head wondering how these people continue to be in business, but you will find no answers here so stop scratching before you scratch a hole in your head and your brain falls out which would render you to the same competency level as some of the people at your friendly Stifel mortgage (I say some because I have actually talked to some people there who eventually did seem to take the situations serious.) If your mortgage is sold to them as my'n were get ready for a roller coaster ride. Your credit score wont go up, but it will come down fast enough to singe off your eye browse. So if your mortgage is sold to Stifel just follow these steps. Sit by your mail box, if you get phone calls where people hang up on you when you answer call your bank because it's probably them trying to foreclose on you and make YOU their contribution to the local add to the local homeless population. I guess its their way of getting back to the root meaning of the word mortgage coming from "death" and "pledge". I didn't make a death pledge to Stifel, but it certainly feels that way.
