My first time visiting / staying at Stonehouse. I will surely be returning, rented mobile home #9, it was better than I expected. The entire place was very nice and you can't be on a nicer lake than Gaston in this area but what really made a difference was the people that own / run the business. Everyone was very nice and there to help you any way they could. Mike was a great resource from sharing knowledge of the lake as well as recommendations about other businesses in the nearby areas. 
The tackle shop was well stocked and prices were very reasonable.

We stayed here in 2015. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The boat rental was fun. The lake was not crowded. We were disappointed in the fish... They didn't bite.

They have great pontoon boats. Just make sure to reserve in advance.
