Story

The Stonewall County Sheriffs Department is dedicated to the citizens of Stonewall County, as well as our surrounding areas. Sheriff Bill Mullen and Chief Deputy, Bryan Shields, go above and beyond, on a daily basis to not only uphold law and order, in our community, but to help the individuals who live and travel through our little town. The employees, of our department, are also willing to go above and beyond, on a daily basis. These dedicated individuals are as follows:

Angie Sigmon - Jail Administrator, Jailer and Dispatcher
Scott Sigmon - Jailer and Dispatcher
Jordan Baitz - Jailer and Dispatcher
Julie Curtis - Jailer and Dispatcher
Stephenia Mullen - Jailer and Dispatcher
Crystal Holland - Relief Jailer and Dispatcher

These individuals have dedicated themselves to strict training and educational guidelines, to which each of them strives to build on daily. The training for these jobs is much more than simply learning to answer a phone or talk on the radio. They take regular classes, sometimes at their own expense, to better improve the ability to assist the citizens of Stonewall County. They are trained physically, as well as mentally, to deal with the daily routine of running a jail and assisting emergency personnel.
