I've shopped at Stop-n-Shop all my adult life; however, I have found myself shopping at Other local grocery stores for a few reasons, 1- S&S has decided to almost exclusively use the self-checkout approach which is extremely cumbersome and just a disaster to navigate and 2- when there are humans available to check you out there is always a long line. As opposed to Shop-Rite, for example who always are always fully staffed at the checkout, including ample baggers. We will not be back to S&S until they eliminate all but a few of the self checkout lines.

I split my shopping between S&S and Shop Rite across the street.  S&S good because it has Peoples Bank and gas station, but for pure market shopping, I am constantly annoyed that no matter what day or hour I shop, there are never enough live cashiers.  I don't like the "checkout yourself" stations.  The live cashiers are very nice, quick, polite and friendly.....but there are not enough of them.

Hit shelton trumbull just right ( in a hurry). Mgr meat mark downs. 33 to 50% off. Good timing. Nice was loosing interest. Registers and staffing great 4 a Friday. Ty
