Straits Area Federal Credit Union has served Cheboygan County and the surrounding area for over 61 years and we’re very proud of our history of helping members achieve their financial goals. We’re over 11,000 members strong with assets over $70 million which makes Straits Area Federal Credit Union the largest member owned financial institution in Cheboygan County. Throughout northern Michigan, we’re known for our commitment to using our strength to better the lives of our members.
We have three branches conveniently located in three wonderful northern Michigan communities: Cheboygan, Indian River and Mackinaw City. We have roots deep in these communities. Straits Area Federal Credit Union supports a broad spectrum of local charities and school programs, and our people get directly involved as volunteers.
