I called a few places today to exchange US dollars for Turkish Lira.  Every other place could tell me how many Lira one dollar will buy; this place can only tell me how many US dollars (or fraction) will buy one Lira.  When I asked for the translation, the lady said, "This is the US, we don't do it that way here."  Funny, every other competitor close by does!

Anyhow, they're rates are terrible!  Today other competing exchange places are offering 1.33 - 1.38 Lira for one US dollar.  Suburban Travel is only offering 1.28 Lira for a dollar!  On top of that, while every competitor charges a $5 transaction fee, Suburban Travel charges $11!

Terrible deal and poor service for money exchange, call either Foreign Currency Exchange Service or American Currency Exchange (both in downtown Birmingham) for MUCH better rates and service.
