Came back for a second time because the food was great and I'm glad their food quality stays the same! I love the southern flavor incorporated into their menu and the little kick of spiciness in their dishes. My favorite is their gravy biscuit and french toast! The pricing is great given it's located in the heart of DC and the ambiance is on point. The serve is great and friendly. We'll definitely visit again when we're in DC in the future!
Came to DC for a work conference, and this restaurant was the most reasonable and wasn’t crowded, so we went for it! My colleague is vegetarian so she got the watermelon and peanuts, kale chips so good, succotash umm she loved it! I don’t favor it as much. We also got fried catfish - it was just okay. The Mac and cheese was everything! The burger - eh - the fried oysters —- highly recommend the spice, the bread, everything! We had wine, no speciality cocktails. Overall 7/10!
We celebrated my birthday dinner here and they did not disappoint! From the appetizer to the espresso martini and dessert, everything was delicious! The service was impeccable. Our server was Tram B. She was such a shining light and so attentive. She really helped my birthday dinner feel extra special, and she was just a kind person! She was so helpful and always with a smile. 10/10 would recommend this place to our friends and we'll be back next trip in D.C.
Amazing place! Interior, atmosphere, service - everything was charming, lovely, and hospitable Food was great too! The pecan pie is a must! Even though I had too high expectations for the chicken and waffles, I still enjoyed every bite of it
First time experience today for lunch. Very nice ambience. Food was mediocre for the lunch menu. We did however enjoy the intimate setting, and today with the eclipse just the rite timing. The wings could have been cooked a bit more, and the butternut salad was good with chicken. We could have had more attentiveness without searching for our waitress. Overall we may try it again for brunch to possibly get a different experience. Nice portion sizes.
One of the great dining experiences of the year! The server and other staff were SO kind and sweet to us and especially our friend’s toddler. They brought out comped deviled eggs and a tiny dessert plate for him. Adorable! Besides that, the menu is so fun and thoughtful. Southern food with Korean ingredients smattered in speak to the chef’s experience beautifully. Everything we ordered was terrific, personal favorites were the catfish, ribs, and banana pudding. We came in thinking this was the kind of place where you have to order sides to fill up, but the main portions were more than fair for the price. On top of all that, the room itself is very incredible. Again, a superb dining experience on all levels. Would come back in a heartbeat.
Hostess was friendly and greeted us with a big beautiful smile. The Ambiance was fantastic. We sat at the bar and the bartender had only been there a month, so service was a bit slow. However, the food was fantastic! Next time I'm in town, I would definitely go back! Great selection of cocktails as well.Food: 5/5
Absolutely AMAZING experience. The food was phenomenal. John was our service and he gave wonderful recommendations. The succotash was phenomenal, which makes sense since that’s what the restaurant is named. Would definitely return and I highly recommend! Here visiting from Dallas and when planning our trip I made a reservation here thanks to TikTok recommendations. Soooo glad we ate here. Such a beautiful and comforting atmosphere and our waitress, Kelsey, was awesome! Drinks, apps, and entrees all came out within a reasonable time. We can vouch for the crab cake, popcorn shrimp, pimento and cheese hush puppies, deviled eggs, mac and cheese, and NY strip. If you don't have room for dessert like us, snag some banana pudding to go... so good! We didn't sit at the bar but if I ever came back to D.C and needed a good bar spot, I would come here. The bar seating looks comfy and cozy.
Stellar service, amazing southern food. Great atmosphere, we were surprised with a seating on the top floor balcony level. This is the service I and food I truly love and it makes me so proud to live in my city and be able to be apart of such a beautiful experience. Great!!!Food: 5/5
